Growing Business
AUSVEG has partnered with Response Learning to build a "first of its kind" business skills program for the vegetable industry to help businesses maximize their potential. The program has been designed specifically for vegetable growers to ensure practical learning within the unique landscape of the industry.
The course will focus on developing business, finance and marketing knowledge and skill through the use of practical projects. There are 3 x 2 day workshops, followed up with distance learning. The facilitators are highly experienced professionals with a wealth of knowledge to guide participants.
You will learn to:
- Write and implement a business plan
- Better plan and manage business finances
- Market the business for better growth
This program can lead to the Certificate IV in Small Business Management. To achieve the qualification, you will need to complete the assessments (which are all work related and therefore can be applied to your business to make changes).
Industry case studies will be included to develop real life scenarios and guest speakers will address specific subject areas. A support program for participants between the workshops is important to maintain the learning. This will involve mentoring with regular contact in the form of phone tutorials and e-newsletters.
