People Development Investment Plan (pdf)

Phase 1

1. Appoint a People Development Manager to coordinate and facilitate people development activities, particularly those related to the Australian Vegetable Industry Development Group People Development Investment Plan.
2. Facilitate participation of vegetable growers in suitable existing business management and leadership programs.
3. Design and implement a national strategic leadership program.
4. Design and implement a tailored business management program.
5. Facilitate grower tours, visits and exchange programs.

Phase 2

(Phase 2 Will be implemented after Phase 1 strategies are established and will build on the learning culture established in Phase 1.

1. Develop of a regional leadership program.
2. Develop a method for establishment of facilitated learning groups in vegetable growing regions across Australia.
3. Investigate current rural networks with the aim of establishing a recognition program to support leadership development.
4. Facilitate an expanded program of grower tours, visits and exchange programs.
