Horticulture Australia Council (HAC) represents 95% of the Australian horticulture industry - an industry with more than 20,000 growers employing 130,000 people and a farm gate value of $7 billion. It has eighteen grower association members.

HAC was formed in June 2000 to effectively deal with the increasing number of critical issues that are threatening and challenging the livelihood of horticultural industry stakeholders. The Council's mission is to strive for the advancement and prosperity of Australian horticulture by providing structure and resources to deal with issues of common interest as well as being a powerful unified voice to represent the industry.
